Big size, Bebe Cool has taken legal action against Comedy Store boss Alex Muhangi over alleged copyright infringement.
According to a letter dated February 25, 2025, Bebe Cool’s lawyer claims that Muhangi broadcasted and distributed Bebe Cool’s performances, featured on the Comedy Store show, without his consent.
Through his lawyer and copyright administrator, Ssentongo Able, Bebe Cool has served Muhangi with a legal notice demanding the removal of his performances from various platforms.

The content in question, aired on NTV Uganda and shared on Comedy Store’s official YouTube channel, was uploaded for commercial purposes between October 2017 and November 2025, leading to significant economic harm and reputational damage for the artist.
Furthermore, Bebe Cool’s legal representative has demanded that Muhangi remove all infringing content from his media platforms and cease using the musician’s work for commercial gain.
Additionally, Bebe Cool is seeking compensation of UGX 579,698,550 for the unauthorised use of his music and the damages incurred.
If the demands are not met within 14 days, Bebe Cool’s legal team has warned that both civil and criminal proceedings will follow.
In conclusion, the letter also requires that Muhangi provide a detailed account of the revenue generated from Bebe Cool’s performances.
