The bus has since been towed to Ngogwe Police Station for inspection, while the driver, who fled the scene, remains at large. Authorities are actively pursuing him as investigations into the crash continue.

Hellen Butoto, the Ssezibwa Region Police Spokesperson, confirmed the incident and urged drivers to exercise caution, particularly during the busy festive season. She highlighted that ongoing heavy rains have made roads slippery, increasing the likelihood of accidents.

In conclusion, Police have called on all road users to prioritise safety, adhere to speed limits, and remain vigilant to avoid further tragedies during this time of heightened travel.
