Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti has spoken about his star forward, Kylian Mbappé’s injury suffered in the 3-2 win over Italian side Atalanta.
However, Ancelotti said that the injury doesn’t look serious but rather an overload. This is news that will come as a huge relief to Real Madrid fans owing to the heavy schedule of games ahead.
The Frenchman was on the score sheet for the Los Blancos, and he left the pitch injured and was replaced by Rodrygo.
“Kylian Mbappé’s injury does not look serious. It’s an overload,” he added.

Furthermore, Mbappe opened the scoring for Real Madrid in the must-win game in the 10th minute. However, the hosts levelled matters in the 45th minute through De Keteleare.
Vinicius Jr., who was returning from injury, doubled Real Madrid’s lead in the 56th minute before Jude Bellingham added a third three minutes later.
Atalanta, which is on fire in the Serie A, got some hope of salvaging something from the game. This is after their Nigerian forward Ademola Lookman scored in the 65th minute, but that was all at full-time.
It should be recalled that Mbappe has been the subject of controversies in recent weeks. He missed two penalties and then went on to praise Lionel Messi as the GOAT rather than Ronaldo, and this left many fans wondering.
In conclusion, with just two games to the end of the group stages, Atalanta are now in the 9th position with 11 points, while Real Madrid are 18th with 9 points.
