UWA Game Ranger kills two women in Kamwenge
Police in Kamwenge District, western Uganda, have launched a manhunt for Naboth, a Uganda Wildlife Authority (UWA) range suspected of fatally shooting two women on Saturday, October 26.
The incident occurred around 2 p.m. in Kanyonza II Cell, Lyakahungu Town Council, following a confrontation between the ranger and his girlfriend, Atukwatse Gloria, who managed to escape.
The victims, Juliet Turyahabwa, 40, and a 60-year-old woman identified as Kedrase, were residents of Lyakahungu Town Council. According to eyewitness Bosco Kyakabare, the dispute began when Naboth argued with Atukwatse, a local bar operator.
