OFFICIAL: Manchester United Sign Manuel Ugarte from PSG
Manchester United have made official the signing of Manuel Ugarte from Paris Saint-Germain. The midfielder arrives for 60 million euros and becomes the Red Devils’ fifth signing of the summer transfer window.
However, the Uruguayan midfielder joined the Red Devils for 50 million euros plus 10 million euros in add-ons after ceasing to play an important role for Paris Saint-Germain boss Luis Enrique.
The summer transfer window is just a few days away, and deals that have been talked about for weeks and months are starting to close, such as Manuel Ugarte’s move to Manchester United.

“Manchester United is pleased to confirm that Manuel Ugarte has joined the club, subject to registration. The Uruguay international has signed a contract until June 2029, with the option to extend for a further year.”
The 23-year-old has agreed a deal with Manchester United for five seasons with an option to stay for a sixth if agreed by both parties. On his social media accounts, he said goodbye to the French club to join Ten Hag. “Dear PSG fans, today I have to say goodbye to this club and to you with mixed feelings. I can’t thank you enough for all the support you have given me.”
Manuel Ugarte has made 21 appearances for Uruguay’s senior national team, as well as making 37 Ligue 1 appearances for PSG and 27 starts, and it remains to be seen whether he will become an important player for Erik ten Hag’s side.
