A tragic road accident has claimed the lives of three people after a Tausi bus collided with a Toyota Noah along the Mbarara–Bushenyi Road in Rwentuuha Town Council, Bushenyi District.
The bus, which was travelling from Kampala to Bushenyi District, reportedly rammed into the Noah vehicle, killing three occupants on the spot.
Several other passengers sustained injuries of varying severity and were rushed to nearby medical facilities for urgent treatment…
Witnesses at the scene described the crash as devastating, noting that the smaller vehicle was extensively damaged due to the force of the impact.
Police officers responded to the scene to manage traffic and begin investigations into the cause of the accident.
Authorities say efforts are underway to identify the deceased and inform their relatives.
Road safety officials continue to warn drivers against speeding and dangerous overtaking, which remain leading causes of accidents on major highways.
