The Sydney Kings have been crowned NBL26 champions after an intense overtime battle against the Adelaide 36ers at Qudos Bank Arena, witnessed by a record-breaking crowd of 18,589 fans.
Kendric Davis delivered a historic performance, scoring 35 points and providing 14 assists, earning the Larry Sengstock Medal as Championship Series MVP. His 14 assists set a new record for the most in an NBL finals series, solidifying his place in league history.

Despite a remarkable 35-point effort from Bryce Cotton, the Kings’ defensive intensity, anchored by Isaac Humphries and Tim Soares, kept Adelaide under pressure and swung the momentum in Sydney’s favor.

The game started with early drama when Matthew Dellavedova exited just two minutes in, prompting coach Brian Goorjian to call a timeout to adjust the bench rotation. This challenge, however, did not slow the Kings’ relentless pursuit of victory.

Ultimately, it was Sydney’s resilience and Davis’ brilliance that defined the night, delivering one of the most electrifying NBL finals in recent memory and giving fans an unforgettable experience.
