Today, Monday, September 29, 2025, the NRM flag bearer H. E. Yoweri Kaguta Museveni will launch its 2026–2031 manifesto at Speke Resort Munyonyo.

Speaking at his nomination rally at Kololo Independence Grounds last week, Mr. Museveni, 81, offered a preview of the manifesto, anchoring it on six key commitments that will shape the NRM’s governance agenda for the next five years.
The president told supporters that the manifesto represents both continuity and renewal, seeking to consolidate Uganda’s gains under NRM rule while addressing emerging challenges facing the population.
He told Uncovered Ug news reporters that “We are moving forward to secure the future of our people. The mission is clear: defend peace, create wealth, and deliver prosperity for every Ugandan household.”
President Museveni will then kick off his 2026 election campaign on Tuesday, September 30, with a grand rally at Bukalasa playgrounds in Luwero.
In conclusion, Museveni will further head north, with campaign stops scheduled in Amolatar and Dokolo on October 1, Alebtong and Otuke on October 2, and Apac, Kwania, and Ntoroko on October 3. On October 4, he is expected in Bunyangabu and Kasese before proceeding to Kole, Lira, and Lira City on October 5.
