Kanungu—Uganda Police, with the help of a sniffer dog, have arrested a woman who stole her neighbor’s raw coffee from his garden on the night of 13th November, 2025.
According to police, Nizamukunda Noziatah was arrested after the dog tracked her scent to her home, where she was found with the stolen coffee.
She allegedly stole the coffee from the garden of Tindimuwa Mathias, a resident of Nganga Village, Nyanga Parish, Nyanga Sub-County, Kanungu District.

“On the night of November 13, 2025, the suspect stole coffee from the garden of the aforementioned victim,” reads the police statement.
When police received the complaint, the Canine Unit, together with a team of investigators, responded swiftly at the well-preserved crime scene, where a police sniffer dog named Clara was introduced, who picked up the scent of the suspect and successfully tracked it for approximately 200 meters.
This led officers to the suspect’s house, where the stolen coffee was recovered as evidence. Additionally, the suspect is now in police custody and will be appearing in court soon.
“We urge the public to always preserve crime scenes to ensure the effectiveness of K9 units in solving cases,” says the police statement.
