In a shocking and disturbing incident, a man identified as Benjamin Agaba has set himself on fire near the entrance of Parliament on Wednesday

However, the eyewitnesses say Agaba, a member of the ruling National Resistance Movement (NRM) party, was seen dousing himself with petrol before the burning incident.

Agaba, who survived the burning incident with severe burns, said he had not received any support from his party despite being a loyal member.

Furthermore, Benjamin claimed that his father’s property had been vandalised by supporters of the opposition National Unity Platform (NUP) party, leaving his father homeless.

“I have been seeking help from the party offices for over a year now, but no one has come to my aid,” Agaba said. “I felt like I had no other option but to take drastic action to draw attention to my plight.”

Here at Uncovered Ug, we condemn such acts in society, and we encourage the government to take serious actions to ensure that many people don’t do the same act.

In conclusion, the NRM party hasn’t yet responded to the claims as Agaba receives treatment for his injuries.
