Eddy Yawe: I gain nothing from NUP
Music veteran Eddy Yawe has distanced himself from gaining nothing from the National Unity Platform (NUP).
He claims gaining nothing from the party despite it being led by Robert Kyagulanyi Sentamu, who is his younger brother.
He further more said everyone has a different ideology so I must know whom to support
Eddy Yawe went on to tell the media that I have no office at the NUP headquarters in kamwokya despite me being a great member of the party.
I can still access bread for my family through music rather than being in politics so I gain nothing from National Unity Platform.
Most people accuse us to be benefiting from Robert Kyagulanyi but that is not the case. He continued to tell people that even the lord said you must get food through sweat, so I hustle through singing, and my other businesses to access accommodation for my family.
Eddy yawe told uncovered news reporters that “I don’t earn anything from NUP but when you buy a new car or build a house, social media people claim you are eating big from the opposition. I even chose not to contest in 2021 because many were alleging I want to use Bobi Wine’s influence to go to parliament,”.
In 2021 he unveiled a multi million house that’s located in Wakiso district.
He is remembered for having sung songs like ‘Pamela, tukigale by Carol Nantongo,Neteze by Martha mukisa’.
