Former Vice President of the Firebase Crew, Mark Bugembe, popularly known as Bucha Man, has praised Mark Da Urban for his talent but criticized his lack of seriousness.
In an exclusive interview with Galaxy TV, Bucha Man described Mark Da Urban as one of his own and a promising dancehall artist. However, he noted that the singer has failed to fully utilize his potential.
“When Mark Da Urban debuted on the scene, Ugandans had high hopes and gave him a chance. However, he blew it by not delivering what was expected of him, forcing fans to shift their attention to other artists,” Bucha Man said.
He added that despite his ability, the artist has not shown enough commitment to succeed in the music industry.

“He is good, but not serious. If he were, he would have already had his breakthrough because Ugandans had a lot of hope in him. No artist raised people’s expectations more than Mark Da Urban,” he added.

Bucha Man also dismissed claims that it is simply not yet Mark Da Urban’s time to shine, insisting that success requires hunger and determination.
“He is not serious yet, and I believe he lacks the hunger for fame. He is my boy, and I know him, but he has not yet developed the desire to become what people expect him to be. It takes hunger and sacrifice. You can be talented but still fail to become a star, and people won’t even notice you,” he said.
