It’s not all good news for Ntungamo-based 99.3FM Radio Ankolle following the death of their station manager, Mzee Eliot Kabangira Magande.
However, The station director, Hon Mwesigwa Rukutana who is also the former Rushenyi County legislator confirmed Magande’s death news stressing that they have done all it takes to save his life but God chose to take him at this stage.
Information reaching our news desk indicates that the Magande passed away this morning at New Mulago Hospital, Block A, Level 4, after battling illness for a long period of time.

Furthermore, Rukutana, the former Minister confided to the press that Magande’s body was by press time still lying at Mulago hospital as preparations were underway to have him back to his ancestral home for further burial arrangements.
“With deep sorrow, on behalf of Radio Ankole Management and the entire staff, I announce the death of our station manager Mzee Eliot Kabangira Magande who has just passed on. He has been sick for long, we tried all it takes to save his life but God has decided otherwise. May his soul rest in eternal peace” Rukutana said in a statement.
After the news of his death, eulogies have started flowing in to the entire media fraternity and the late’s family: “Mzee wa kazi is gone; may the good Lord strengthen and comfort his family.”.
