Trump Slated To Pay $355 Million, Faces 3-Year Business Ban
A New York court has ruled that former President Donald Trump must pay a substantial sum of $355 million as a result of a fraud case.
Additionally, he has been barred from conducting any business activities within the state for a period of three years.
He said on Friday that this was no longer necessary because he is appointing an independent monitor and compliance director to oversee the 77-year-old Republican’s business.

In his ruling, Engoron said that Trump and the other defendants in the civil fraud case were incapable of admitting the error of their ways.
“Their complete lack of contrition and remorse borders on pathological. Instead, they adopt a ‘See no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil’ posture that the evidence belies,” he said.
Furthermore, the ruling, which comes as a significant blow to the former president, sheds light on the legal implications of his past business practices.
The court’s decision reflects the seriousness of the allegations brought against him and highlights the importance of upholding the principles of accountability and transparency.
The case revolved around allegations of fraudulent conduct within Trump’s business empire, prompting a thorough investigation by authorities.
In conclusion, the court’s ruling serves as a clear message that such actions will not be taken lightly, regardless of one’s stature or position.
