Suspected Allied Democratic Forces, ADF rebels have carried out a deadly attack in Kamwenge district, resulting in the tragic deaths of three individuals.
However, Kamwenge Resident District Commissioner Isiah Kanyamahane Byarugaba reported that the rebels targeted Nyabitutsi village in Businge parish, Kamwenge sub-county, on Christmas night.
This incident follows closely on the heels of another attack a week ago, where suspected ADF rebels killed 10 people near the Kibaale forest.

During the raid, a house was set ablaze, claiming the lives of Adrine Ngwabiiji, 78, and her two grandchildren. The assailants also seized ten goats and five cows before fleeing the scene.
The victims had been guarding their crops against monkey damage when the attackers struck.
President Yoweri Museveni, while condemning the tragedy, revealed that the assault involved four perpetrators believed to be remnants of the Njovu-Kamusu group of ten individuals who entered Uganda from the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) a few weeks ago.
“They had crossed back to Congo but came back. They are the group that killed the children of Nyabugaando school, killed the two tourists and their driver, and burned the onion truck,” he added.
In conclusion, the President expressed his concern over the continued threat posed by these rebels and pledged to address the security challenges.
