Rico Lewis Renews His Contract With Manchester City

The 18-year-old Englishman Rico Lewis has renewed his contract with Manchester City for another five years.

His contract at Etihad Stadium has been renewed, keeping him at the club till June 2028.

Being a young player, he has played alongside talented players at City, which has proven his worth to the club.

He was impressive at City last season and has been on good terms with the club teammates and coach Pep.

However, Rico broke into Pep Guardiola’s first team last season, leaving the coach impressed with his performance as he helped the treble winners, Manchester City, win the FA Cup, the UEFA Champions League, and the Premier League last season.

The versatile player who plays defense and midfield is now set for a long and bright future with the city.

Rico made his debut last August with the Manchester City senior team at age 17 and was featured in 24 games for the club in their treble wins last season.

“It’s been an unbelievable year for me, and now to sign this contract, it’s a dream come true.

“As a city fan, I can remember us winning trophies when I was young, and it’s the only place I’ve wanted to be. Knowing I’m going to be here till 2028 is fantastic, and I can’t wait to keep working and keep improving.

“Everyone at the club has been so amazing, starting with the academy, where I learned so much, and I’m hugely grateful for everything they did. The fans have been brilliant too, and I’ll give everything for them and the club to try to keep us successful”.

In conclusion, His contract was to expire at the end of the summer, but the city handed the 18-year-old another five years with them.
