Finally Professor Wasswa Balunywa’s contract at Makerere University Business School(MUBS) has expired.
Its remembered that in 2018,Balunywa’s contract had expired, but he had refused to leave office of the principal of the school, this forced the president to secure him another term of five years .
This time round Balunywa’s era as the principal of the school has come to an end. WHAT A GOOD PRINCIPAL BALUNYWA WAS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Francis Yosa, the institution’s Human Resource Director said“Following the expiry of Prof. Wasswa Balunywa’s contract as Principal on May 31, 2023, Council at its Special Meeting held on June 02, 2023 resolved to appoint Prof. Moses Muhwezi as Acting Principal, pursuant to Section 40(2)(d) of the Universities and Other Tertiary Institutions Act 2001 (as amended), until such a time when the position is filled substantively in accordance with the law,”.
MUBS Council Chairperson, Prof Venansius Baryamureeba was determined to see him out but unfortunately Balunywa was not willing to go and the two ended up in public sympathy.
This forced President Museveni (President of Uganda) to reward him another five years of service which he has served from 2018 up to 2023.
There are speculation that are going viral that Wasswa Balunywa might replace the late Mutebile as the new Governor of the bank of Uganda.
Here at uncovered news, we are waiting to see if the president will reward him another term or he will replace him with another person.
