Police in Ntungamo District are investigating circumstances surrounding the incestuous relationship between a 63-year-old Mzee and his three granddaughters.
However, police identified the suspect as Francis Tibijuka, a resident of Rwenanuura one-cell Kyempisi, Kakukuru-Rwenanuura town council, Ntungamo district.
According to police, they were notified by the mother of the victims, identified as Joyce Twiguririrwe, a lodge attendant at Imazone bar and lodges in Rubaare town council, after she learnt about the incestuous relationship between her father and her three girl children.

The victims were staying with their grandfather since their mother was working far from the home village.
The victims whose names were withheld since were juveniles between the ages of 5 and 9 years; their grandfather has been using them in sexual acts. After they got tired of his actions, they narrated to their mother, who tipped police to apprehend him.
The suspect (Francis Tibijuka) was first apprehended on Tuesday, October 22, 2024, and detained at Rubaare police station for some days. Later, he was transferred to Ntungamo CPS on Friday, October 25, 2024, for further management of the matter.
