Man in Kween District kills wife over food denial
In Kween district, police have in custody Kurong Moses, a 45-year-old resident of Cherigi village, Ngenge Subcounty, for the murder of his 57-year-old wife, Yapcherukut Beatrice, also a resident of the same area.
According to Fredmark Chesang, the PRO of Sipi Region Police, it is alleged that on Friday, March 19, 2024, while at Cherigir village, the suspect returned home drunk and demanded food from his wife, now deceased.
She asked him to be patient as she was still preparing it, but the suspect started quarreling and eventually beat his wife to death.

Furthermore, Chesand says police were called, and led by D/AIP Isaale Robert, they visited the scene with Soco and a team of detectives. The deceased’s body was conveyed to the Kapchorwa main hospital mortuary for postmortem examination.
Relevant statements were recorded, and the suspect was arrested. A case of murder by aggravated domestic violence was registered at Ngenge police station.
