Two men are being held at Wandegeya Police Division following the murder of Kabugo, a 34-year-old resident of Kalerwe.
Police say they received information at around 8:00am yesterday about a body discovered near the fence of Dusuma garage. Officers immediately responded to the scene alongside the police K9 unit.
The police sniffer dog, Pepper, was introduced to the area and quickly picked up a scent from the body. The dog tracked for about 10 meters before entering the house of the garage security guard.
After exiting the house, the dog continued tracking around the garage premises and eventually led officers to a specific location where workers usually gather during working hours.

At that spot, the dog lay down, signaling to handlers that critical evidence was present. Officers recovered a metal bar with apparent blood stains, believed to have been used in the assault. The dog tracked for about 10 meters before entering the house of the garage security guard
Further searches conducted in the askari’s house led to the recovery of spears and arrows.
The suspects, Ssebuya and Johnson, remain in custody as police continue investigations to establish the motive and circumstances surrounding the killing.
