Chicken Business has become a great earning business in Uganda, so we have brought you some factors for a better yields from it

Abundant Capital
Depending on how many chickens you want to rear, make sure that you have sufficient funds. This will help you to start and complete the project without any hiccups. This is the backbone of this business, and if you don’t have enough funds, it’s better to leave the business altogether and first prepare yourself until you’re ready.

Good Shelter 
Next you need enough shelter to house your chickens. A small space will lead to overcrowding and eventually death, leading to wastage of resources. So construct a big enough place because you don’t know how the business might turn out. You can build this shelter using bricks or timber.

Make sure to use concrete on the floor or other tilings to cover the floor and make sure that you eliminate dust. This causes bird flu and cough, which might lead to the death of the birds.

Enough Food Supply 
Chickens eat a wide variety of food, but the major food is maize bran. You can also mix it with other ingredients such as salt. This makes the birds drink a lot of water that is crucial in gaining weight, which is what most buyers consider. If you have poultry feeds stocked in bulk, you’re bound to raise some good, weighty birds that are ready to hit the market.

These birds need constant veterinary observation by a trained and professional veterinary doctor. If you decide to buy day-one chicks, then immunisation should come in handy to prevent them from catching diseases that might kill them and send you into losses. Even if you buy those that have matured a bit, make sure to have a professional check them once in a while.

Ready Market
Although people to buy your chickens will always be available, you want a reliable heavy market that buys in bulk. Since this article is mainly for croilers (chickens for meat), they are ready to be sold at two months. The price ranges between 20k-25k. Depending on what you have sold and how much input you put into them, you are bound to realise some huge profits.
