A court in Luweero has charged a mother who beheaded her daughter in a ritual sacrifice ordeal. This woman, known as Nalubega Josephine, 31, is now facing charges of murder and a life sentence.
She claimed that she did this to appease her gods and usher peace and prosperity into her family, as they had suffered for quite some time.
However, it’s said that Josephine hacked her daughter, Tumwesigye Caroline, a sixth-grade pupil at Bombo Common Primary School. When pressed by authorities, she said that she had chopped off her daughter’s head, fingers, and toes.

Residents of the area where Nalubega resided are still in shock over this incident, and many are wondering how she killed someone, including her own child, in pursuit of wealth.
Furthermore, the evidence is still being gathered to pin Nalubega Josephine. And when all this is done, she will be put in front of a judge, and once she’s found guilty, she will be charged with first-degree murder, and a lengthy spell behind bars awaits her. It’s still being investigated to see if she has accomplices.
Authorities in Luwero have come out to criticize this gruesome murder by the mother of her child. They said that such barbaric acts shouldn’t be a thing in this age, and moreover, such wealth from the gods.
