“As the police, we are diligently searching for Nuwamanya Yokana’s body. He was a student at Ankole Institute and, unfortunately, drowned while swimming with friends in the river over the weekend.
Despite our efforts, we have yet to recover his body. We advise everyone to exercise caution near the river, as water levels have risen significantly during this rainy season. He is not the only person to have lost their life in the river this year,” Kasasira remarked.
Attempts to contact Ankole Institute, as well as his friends and family, by this publication were unsuccessful by the time of reporting. Nonetheless, we extend our heartfelt condolences to the family of the deceased.
