Veteran Kadongo Kamu singer Willy Mukabya has embraced a new spiritual journey of becoming a born-again Christian by starting up a church.
However, the musician revealed this after a special Thanksgiving prayer session that the church is called “Kwebaza Church Centre” with 19 members as my children.
Mukabya stated that God had called him to serve for years, but he ignored the call. He now believes he is ready to guide others in faith. He sees pastoring as an extension of his musical career, where he has always spread messages. His goal is to provide a place for people to give thanks before asking for more blessings.

Furthermore, Willy Mukabya assured fans that he will continue making music. He believes both pastoring and music serve the same purpose—spreading God’s message. Regarding his signature dreadlocks, he said he is waiting for divine guidance on whether to cut them.
News of Mukabya’s transition into pastoring sparked debate online. Some people questioned his quick shift and accused him of seeking financial gain.
In conclusion, he strongly denied these claims. Willy Mukabya insisted that his Kwebaza Church Centre is about faith and gratitude, not money.
