In Uganda, a group named “Hail Numbers” is rising. They believe in the strength of numbers and technology to fight the big problem of climate change. They recently went to Bishop Stuart University in Kakoba, Mbarara, with a mission to learn and teach about the changing world around us.
Their main goal was to talk to the young students and understand how much they knew about the climate and the idea of “climate justice.” This is the belief that everyone should be treated fairly when it comes to the effects of climate change, especially those who contributed less to the cause.
The team found out something interesting. Many students knew about the dangers of climate change, but not many knew about climate justice and what to do to circumvent it. This means there’s a need to teach more people about it.
But there was one strong message from the students: We must work together. No matter what they were studying or where they came from, they all believed that to save our earth, everyone must join hands.
Hail Numbers was inspired by these young voices. They see that the youth, especially in Africa, have a big part to play in the future. By teaching them and joining forces with them, Hail Numbers hopes to make a big difference in the world.
This visit to Bishop Stuart University was just one step. Hail Numbers will keep working hard, using the power of knowledge and unity to fight for a world where everyone is safe from the dangers of climate change.

In this journey, it’s clear that the young African voice is vital. They will be the ones facing the wrath of climate change for a long time. But with groups like Hail Numbers and the passion of young people, there’s a glimpse of hope for a brighter, fairer future for everyone. This not only helps in fighting climate change but also supports the idea of including everyone, no matter where they come from or who they are.
