Finally: ‘Hakim Ziyech Joins Galatasaray From Chelsea’
Galatasaray completes the signing of Chelsea player Hakim Ziyech on a temporary free transfer with an option to purchase.
The Turkish Super League champions have signed the Moroccan midfielder from Chelsea on loan with the option of signing him later on a permanent basis.
Ziyech will earn 3.6 million euros for the 2023–24 season and 2.9 million euros for the 2024–25 season if he joins the club on a permanent transfer.
Galatasaray won a record 23rd league title in May this year, their first since the 2018/19 season.
The 30-year-old still has an outstanding contract with Chelsea, but the new boss made it official that he will not be needing the player’s services anymore.
Had therefore secured a move for him to the Turkish side as he sought to reduce the number of players on his squad.
Mauricio Pochettino on selling the player:
I think 22–23 players plus three, four, and five players to use every week, as the boss revealed as his preferred squad size earlier this week.
Additionally, We were using some young players from the academy yesterday, and I was very surprised and happy about their performances and quality.
I think it’s very good that we can add, but this number 22, 23, seems perfect at the moment.
We are not going to be involved in European competition this season; maybe next season if we are,
In conclusion, This number is also good for bringing young players from the academy to hopefully play for the first team.
