Just days after a tragic cement mixer truck crash, Nkumba Road witnessed yet another collision. Eyewitness Lawrence Mushabe reports that on Friday around 1 PM, a Coaster bus carrying schoolchildren on a trip to UWEC failed to brake, colliding with a Toyota Premio.
Thankfully, this time there were no injuries, offering a moment of relief after Wednesday’s fatal crash that claimed a life. The earlier incident involved a cement mixer truck belonging to the Seyani Brothers, which lost control and collided with barriers, tragically killing city lawyer Okiot.
In light of these events, Kananura from the territorial police in Entebbe has emphasized the need for road safety. In a statement, Kananura addressed Wednesday’s crash and the recent collision, underscoring the importance of responsible driving.

The deceased, Okiot, was not just a lawyer but also the husband of Kyenjojo Grade I Magistrate, Ms. Faith Irene Kwagala. His untimely demise has left a void in the legal community and beyond.
In conclusion, as investigations continue into both incidents, it’s crucial for authorities to address any factors contributing to these accidents. With proper measures in place, we can work towards ensuring safer roads for all.”.
