Samu Omorodion has been on Chelsea’s radar for some time, and, according to Fabrizio Romano and Gianluca Di Marzio, among others, the Blues have taken advantage of the talks with Atletico for Conor Gallagher to insist again on the ‘Colchonero’ striker. The deal could be closed in this case for $50 million.

Conor Gallagher’s transfer to Atletico Madrid is a done deal. The player has already given his approval, and all that remains is for him to head to the Spanish capital to join the Rojiblanco team.

Things have been moving fast, and in recent days, contact between Chelsea and Atletico has been constant. The Blues have taken advantage of this relationship with the Spanish side to reiterate their interest in Samu Omorodion, for whom they made an offer of $40 million at the beginning of the summer that was rejected.

Fabrizio Romano claims that Chelsea is still very interested in signing the striker for the 2024–25 season and has reportedly told Atletico. The Colchonero club will have the final say on the matter. This move would have nothing to do with the Gallagher deal.

For the midfielder, the institution presided over by Enrique Cerezo will pay around 47 million, and, according to Gianluca Di Marzio, for Omorodion, the Blues could put 50 million on the table. However, Fabrizio Romano says that this amount would be $35.

In conclusion, at Stamford Bridge, they will fight until the last minute for Samu Omorodion, as he is the striker that Enzo Maresca wants in his ranks.
