The sad news reaching our news desk says that Humphrey Mayanja, the elder brother of singers Dr. Jose Chameleone, Weasel, and Pallaso, has passed away.

It should be noted that Humphrey announced last year that he had been battling stomach complications and had to undergo surgery to feel better. Additionally, it was later established that he’s suffering from cancer. The family airlifted him from the US to Uganda.

He has been bedridden at the Uganda Cancer Institute for a while now. His father, Gerald Mayanja, revealed a while ago that it was a trying moment for the family because they were not allowed to see him.

He was being looked after by trained personnel for fear of new infections from outsiders. However, it seems it was too late to save his life, as he’s not been able to make it.

Jose Chameleone took to his Facebook page to announce the news. He posted a photo of his elder brother and attached crying emojis. Apparently, the Wale Wale singer seems to have been very close to him, as he even used to sing about him in his songs.

The family has also been in a lot of scandals in the past few days, especially with Chameleone’s wife, Daniella Atim. Therefore, with this death, it’s a toll on them, and hopefully they sail through it well.

In conclusion, Humphrey had been living in the US for many years. This is a truly trying moment for the Mayanja family. They lost their lastborn, Emmanuel Mayanja, aka AK47, under unclear circumstances in 2015.
