Tottenham Hotspur has secured the signature of Dutch midfielder Xavi Simons from RB Leipzig in a deal worth €60 million.
However, Spurs have been in demand of an attacking midfielder during the summer transfer window. The 22-year-old has agreed to a five-year contract with Spurs, which also includes an option for a further two years.
The highly rated playmaker becomes one of the most significant additions of Tottenham’s summer window as the club looks to strengthen their squad under Thomas Frank.

Furthermore, Simons is expected to add flair and control to the Spurs midfield because of his creativity, versatility, and technical quality.
“I’m really happy and can’t wait to get going,” he said. “I’ve been dreaming of this for a long time. It’s a great club, and when I met the head coach (Frank), I knew straight away that this was the right place for me.”
Simons arrives in north London after impressing in both the Bundesliga and on the international stage with the Netherlands. His ability to operate across multiple attacking roles made him one of Europe’s most sought-after young talents, with Tottenham ultimately winning the race for his signature.

In conclusion, after failing to secure Eberechi Eze from Crystal Palace, Spurs have finally secured Xavi Simons’s signature for five years.
