Rasmus Hojlund joins Napoli on a loan deal

The Danish striker, who joined Manchester United in 2023 from Atalanta, Rasmus Hojlund, has officially joined Napoli on a loan deal.

According to journalist Fabrizio Romano, the deal is structured as a €6 million paid loan with an obligation to buy set at €44 million if certain conditions are met, bringing the total transfer value to €50 million.

After the international break, he will be officially unveiled to the supporters wearing the Azzurri shirt after spending two seasons in the Premier League at Manchester United.

Furthermore, Hojlund arrived in Naples on Saturday evening and underwent his medical on Sunday before signing a contract running until 2031.

Hojlund struggled to secure a regular starting place at Old Trafford, scoring 26 goals and providing five assists in 95 appearances across all competitions.

No longer part of Ruben Amorim’s plans, Hojlund was heavily linked with AC Milan before deciding to join Antonio Conte’s Napoli project.

He has also joined Scott MCTominay, who joined Napoli during Erik ten Hag’s regime.
