Liverpool is to host Tottenham at Anifield Stadium in the Premier League this Sunday as both sides aim to bring poor runs of form to an end.
However, the Reds have surrendered any hope of lifting the Premier League title in recent weeks as Jurgen Klopp’s final season in charge peters out, but the pressure has now been lifted for the Carabao Cup winners.
Liverpool looked sharper in their 2-2 draw with West Ham United last time out, but their recent displays have left a lot to be desired in both boxes.

Meanwhile, Tottenham are on their own subpar streak, losing their last three Premier League games. Their most recent was a disheartening 2-0 defeat at the hands of Chelsea, adding to a 3-2 loss to north London rivals Arsenal and a 4-0 humiliation against Newcastle United.
Apparently, both teams their dreams of Champions League qualification are fading fast.
Matches between these two sides are often guaranteed drama, and that was certainly the case in the reverse fixture. Spurs beat nine-man Liverpool 2-1 with a 96th-minute own goal after VAR had wrongly ruled out Luis Diaz’s effort earlier in the game.
