The Primary Leaving Examinations (PLE) which is done at the end of every year by Primary seven pupils from different schools is to be released on Monday, 23rd January 2023. The exams of the pupils who did their papers last year in 2022 are expected to check their results tomorrow using their phones to see how their performed.

This time round UNEB has delayed to release the results compared to the previous years where by the results would be released around 11th or 12th every January.

The results were supposed to be released on Thursday or Friday this week but eventually Jennifer Kalule Musamba, The public relations representative for the Uganda National Examination Board (UNEB)  told the journalists that the revised release date for the results will be informed to everyone on our social media platforms

“Remember 832,810 candidates sat for the Primary Leaving Examinations for the 2022”.

How to check for the PLE results using your phone

  • Open the message pad on your Mobile Phone
  • Type the Examination Name as “PLE” (Leave Space)
  • Type Examination Index Number (NO Space)
  • Send to 8383

For Example:
<<Exam Name>> <<SPACE>> <<INDEX_NUMBER>>

PLE 1677931/021 and send to 6600

NB: Each SMS sent to 6600 is charged Uganda shillings 500, the service will be available on MTN, and Airtel networks.

 

Here at uncovered news, lets show you the grading of the four done subjects according to UNEB so that our dear viewers get to know how the candidates performed and in which grade they passed in;

The best aggregates a candidate is supposed to get is four points by securing a distinction in every subject that’s to say;

Mathematics – D1

English                -D1

Social studies  –D1

Science              -D1

Furthermore, a candidate who performs poorly in all subjects is supposed to have got failures in all the three subjects that’s to say;

Mathematics – F9

English                -F9

Social studies  –F9

Science              -F9

In additional to the above, 4 to 12 points it’s a first grade, 13 to 23 is a second grade, 24 to 29 it’s a third grade, 30 to 34 it’s a fourth grade whereas 35 to 36 is a typical failurer.
