Paris Saint-Germain winger Ousmane Dembele was finally announced the winner of the 2025 Ballon d’Or at the Théâtre du Châtelet in Paris, France.
Having won five titles with the Parisian club, including the first Champions League in the club’s history. Made him stand for it
After last year’s Ballon d’Or gala was a big surprise and created a lot of controversy when Rodri was named the winner of the award when everyone thought Vinicius was the favorite, the 2025 edition has not followed the same pattern.

The vast majority of fans had Ousmane Dembele as their favorite, who has been named winner of the 2025 Ballon d’Or ahead of Lamine Yamal and X. There were some doubts as to whether the 18-year-old Barcelona winger could take the award away from the Frenchman, but the PSG striker has been in such impressive form that it was inevitable that he would be the man of the night at the Théâtre du Châtelet.
After scoring 40 goals and providing 43 assists in 185 games for the Catalans, he left for Paris Saint-Germain in the summer of 2023 when the Parisian team paid the €50 million release clause in his contract.
Since arriving at PSG, Dembele has become a key player for Luis Enrique, although his goal contributions were not as expected in his first season at the Parc des Princes. The French winger scored just three goals and provided eight assists in all competitions in the 2023/24 season, averaging 0.36 G/A per game, something that would change significantly the following season.
In conclusion, here at Uncovered Ug, we congratulate Ousimane Dembele for winning the Ballon d’Or of 2025.
