Barcelona are the 2024/25 La Liga champions after their convincing win against Espanyol of 2-0 in the league.
Barcelona are the La Liga champions for the 28th time in their history. A thrilling season has seen the Catalans clinch the title in style, with their win against Espanyol making it mathematically impossible for Real Madrid to catch them, even with two games remaining.
The Blaugrana conquered the league after registering 27 wins, four draws, and only five defeats from 35 matches in a memorable season for them. After years of struggle, Barcelona seems to have finally found their way back to the top, with Hansi Flick at the heart of their revival.

Furthermore, Hansi Flick, the German coach, landed in Catalonia in the summer of 2024, replacing Xavi Hernandez, who brought in stability in the team. Flick exceeded all expectations, winning a domestic treble in his first season in charge, and doing so emphatically.
By the end of February, they had already cut the deficit to Real Madrid, leveling with them on 51 points after their 1-0 win against Rayo Vallecano on matchday 24.
In conclusion, their campaign started strongly, but two miserable months of November and December saw them finish off the calendar year in second, eight points behind Real Madrid on matchday 18.
