Galaxy FM presenter Little Joe survived being shot last night. Details about what transpired and led to this incident are still scanty.
Bypassers who were recording were the ones who recognised him and even revealed that the security guard had already cocked the gun. He was ready to shoot, but it seems the onlookers aided the media personality’s survival.
A video that is making the rounds on social media showed the Evening Rush presenter kneeling down in front of a Stanbic Auto Teller Machine (ATM) pleading for his life. On another end, a security guard was seen pointing a gun at him.

Nobody knows what happened, and Little Joe has not yet come out to address the issue. However, it seems like there was some misunderstanding between the two. Even the place where the incident took from was a bit dim and had no street lights.
One may also say he was mistaken for being a thief, probably because of how he was dressed and his hairstyle. With the robberies happening every now and then around the city, it is therefore not surprising that the guard reacted the way he did. After all, this was an ATM point, and it was at night.
In conclusion, such unfortunate incidents arising from simple and solvable misunderstandings have always led to the unnecessary end of people’s lives. But luckily for the radio man, it seems like it wasn’t his day to meet death.
