Tugume Albert Cook, the brother to Kampala Deputy Lord Mayor Doreen Nyanjura, has been shot and killed by unknown gunmen in Ntinda, a Kampala urban suburb, DailyExpress understands. Uganda Airlines
According to Nyanjura’s social media post, he was first abducted from his mobile money shop along Central Road near Fraine Supermarket in Ntinda-Kigoowa before being fatally shot by the gunmen on Thursday evening.
She would later confirm in a new post at 8.57 pm, saying, “My brother has been killed.” Details surrounding the robbery and the amount of money/property taken by the thugs were still scanty at the time of filing this update.

Furthermore, Kampala Metropolitan Police Deputy Spokesperson, Mr. Luke Owoyesigyire, confirmed the incident of aggravated robbery and said police were trying to follow up on the incident for more details.
“My brother Tugume Albert Cook has been abducted on gunpoint from Central Road, Ntinda Kigowa Road. One person has been shot dead. He operates a mobile money shop,” Ms. Nyanjura posted at 8.42 pm via her official X account.

“Kira Road Police have responded to a scene of aggravated robbery in Ntinda. Tragically, one person has been confirmed dead and another sustained injuries,” Owoyesigyire posted in a social media update on X, formerly Twitter. “Further details will be provided as soon as possible,” he added.
