Hon Tayebwa Meets Woman Accusing Him of Land Grabbing
In a trending story this week, A lady took to social media and made claims about how the deputy speaker of parliament, Hon Thomas Tayebwa, had arrested her husband and was in the process of grabbing their land.
This woman was identified as Esther Lubunde from Entebbe. She said that the alleged land is located in Abaita Ababiri. According to Ms. Esther, she has gone to all the offices that would be responsible for helping, but she has been assured that she won’t get any help.
Soon as Hon. Thomas Tayebwa saw her post on social media, he distanced himself from this saga. He said that he knows nothing about her allegations, nor does he have any land where he’s involved in Abayita Ababiri along Entebbe Road.

Furthermore, Tayebwa told uncoveredug news reporters that “this afternoon, I met with Esther Lubunde, accompanied by her father, sister, and lawyers, the lady who was misled to believe that I was involved in her ongoing land disputes, as shown in a viral video. She graciously apologized after realizing that I have no connection to the Tayebwa, in whose name the land under contention is registered.”
The Ruhinda North MP, however, asked to reach out to this lady. Finally, the two met today, and the issues were resolved. It was established that Thomas Tayebwa is in fact not the deputy speaker but rather another person.
In conclusion, the MP said that this lady apologized to him, and he accepted the apology. However, he asked people to always be cautious before spreading such malicious information. This is because, as much as he’s forgiven her, his reputation has already been tainted.
